He has performed with the Singapore Lyric Opera, delivered vocology lectures at Cornell University, and led vocal workshops for organizations such as the Choral Director Association of Singapore, Our Music Studio, and the Methodist School of Music.

Currently, Dr. Tham is an adjunct lecturer for the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC), where he trains preservice teachers. He runs the Little Singers, an early childhood music-making program for the Voices of Singapore, which employs a Kodály-inspired approach to foster foundational musical skills and a love for music in young children. He also leads You Sparkle, a community choir for children at risk, offering a safe space for creativity, expression, and personal growth through music. Additionally, he teaches both solo voice and choral ensembles, working with individuals across various age groups, including children with special needs.

In his classroom teaching, Dr. Tham employs Kodály-based strategies to support inclusive learning environments, particularly for children with autism. Beyond the classroom, he directs choirs in Singapore, fostering technical excellence and fostering social-emotional learning among singers.
